Advocacy and Lobbying

TAAA is the national voice for the Talent Acquisition profession, representing the interests of TA professionals, employers and the broader industry in policy discussions that shape how Australia attracts, assesses, and retains talent.

Our advocacy focuses on issues directly influencing Australia’s workforce and hiring landscape, including skilled migration and immigration policy, national skills shortages, AI and responsible hiring technology, workforce participation, employment regulation, education and early-career pathways, skills-first hiring, diversity and inclusion, professional standards, emerging workforce models and the future of work.

Talent Acquisition professionals find and connect people with opportunity, yet they’re often missing from the conversations that shape their work. We’re changing that.

TAAA represented our profession at Australia’s inaugural National AI Skills Forum alongside leaders from government, industry, unions, education and technology.

As policy, technology and workforce needs continue to evolve, TAAA will work with government, industry bodies, educators and other stakeholders to ensure the experience and expertise of Australia’s Talent Acquisition community helps inform better policy, stronger workforce outcomes and a more effective labour market.
