Elevating Talent Acquisition Across Australia
Australia's Professional Association for Talent Acquisition
The Talent Acquisition profession in Australia has transformed dramatically over the past three decades. What was once considered a specialised area of Human Resources has evolved into a strategic profession that shapes organisational success, workforce capability and career opportunities for thousands of Australians.
The Talent Acquisition Association of Australia (TAAA) exists to champion this profession, support its practitioners and elevate its standing across Australian workplaces.
Our Mission
To strengthen and professionalise talent acquisition in Australia by connecting practitioners, lifting industry capability, setting practical standards, and giving the TA community a clear, credible voice.
Our story
The idea for TAAA was born from a simple observation: Talent Acquisition has grown into a recognised profession, yet it has lacked a dedicated professional body to represent, connect and support its practitioners.
Industry leaders across all states and territories recognised the need for a national member-based association that reflects the growing importance and professionalism of Talent Acquisition.
We envision a community that brings Talent Acquisition professionals, corporate talent teams and industry partners together to learn, collaborate, advocate and raise professional standards across the sector.
Today, TAAA has built that professional home.
Our purpose is to provide members with access to career development, training, industry insights, networking opportunities, tools, resources and emerging technologies that help individuals and teams thrive.
By creating a strong professional community and capability framework, we will advance Talent Acquisition both strategically and operationally across Australia.
Our Values
Professional
We lift the standard, credibility and recognition of talent acquisition in Australia.
Capable
We raise capability by creating tools, training, insights and connections that help TA professionals do better work.

We help the profession adapt to changing technology, labour markets, skills needs and candidate expectations.
Our Goals
Partners
Over the first 12 months, we will identify and partner with vendors who offer real value in key categories. These partners will be vetted for quality and will offer discounts to existing members.
professional members
The TAAA aims to engage over 1,000 Professional Members within the first 12 months. Members who share our vision in elevating the TA industry.
